Next Date: TBA
We invite you to share an intimate 6 days of yoga, culture, exploration & adventure at a truly magical location in Northern British Columbia - one of the most beautiful and remote places on earth. Come experience how truly spiritual and stunning these Haida islands can be.
Who should come.
Anyone seeking a once in a life time adventure, as you explore the mystic Haida lands, and dig deep into a personal yoga practice. The history of Haida Gwaii and the mystique of these scattered group of islands, is the perfect environment for those seeking solace, nature and healthy rejuvenation from busy life. Our retreat is rustic, so don't be afraid to get your feet a little dirty. Please don't come expecting a fancy hotel and spa ;) Come with the open mindedness to try something new, learn to live off the land, indulge in culture, and find yourself, on and off your mat.
We will hold morning and evening yoga classes, catered for all experience levels and body types. The morning session will be a challenging Vinyasa style of practice, so expect to get a little sweaty. In this practice we will include breath work, meditation and strength building, making our time together all inclusive and progressive.
The evening will consist of a Yin, more restorative style of practice. Giving your body the chance to rejuvenate and recover for the adventures ahead.
Located on Haida Nation land and nestled within beautiful Naikoon Park on Northern Haida Gwaii, Hiellen Longhouse Village offers seven traditional style Haida longhouse cabins and a main Haida longhouse. Each has been carefully designed and built to provide rustic, yet comfortable and cozy accommodations on beautiful Haida Gwaii. For the retreat, there will be the option to choose from staying in your own private room, (single bed), in the group longhouse or if you prefer to have more privacy the private cabins are available, (double bed), for an extra charge. You will get a small taste of the Haida lifestyle and culture while getting connected to nature. The sandy beachfront invites you to play in and around the ocean, and we can even dig for clams or fish for crab with the help of the Haida elders.
